Dear Centrica Hive Support Team,
I am writing to request your urgent assistance regarding a Hive device registered at my new property.
I have recently moved into the following address:
112 Sydney Road
Walton-on-Thames
KT12 3SA
It appears that the existing Hive system at the property is still registered under a previous account holder. As this is a rental property, I have no means of contacting the previous occupant to resolve this.
I have made several attempts to resolve this issue independently via your website and online guidance, including following all recommended steps, as well as seeking support through various online resources. Unfortunately, I have been unable to resolve the matter and have not been able to reach anyone directly for assistance.
I kindly request that the existing Hive account linked to this property be disconnected, so that I can register and connect the system to my own Hive account.

Even your your head office was unable to put me through and kept putting me through to a recording that was useless and finally cut me off. It was British Gas that introduced us to Hive and we had the Hive system installed We then had British Gas home care

I experienced connection issues with my mobile app and was unable to access the Thermostat etc. I tried all I could to reconnect and pair up.
After numerous attempts myself, I contacted customer services and they very calmly, politely and professionally went through a reset process and all now resolved. Cannot fault the service received- I cannot recall the ladies name in person, but she was excellent throughout.

- - On Hive, you must pay 1 quid to speak with a tech advisor; I expect the tech to last longer than a year.
Phone the Customers Service Helpline 0333202 ****. After choosing the correct option, I was 'basically told' to go online then I was cut off.
Tried a different number (found on the internet)01611****, same story as above. Went on the Hive site. 'Talked' to an assistant who ask me different questions and then proceeded to tell me that she was going to put me with a technical advisor. Great!
No, wrong, you've got to pay 1 quid then you can proceeded to 'speak' with the technical advisor!!! I paid good money for this latest technology and I expect it to last longer than 1 year!

The installation address for a new hive is wrong

- - App update stops heating on/off and the schedule.
- - Hive+ payment and signup are required for support.
- - The app is faulty; I won't replace with Hive.
Following the app update, I cannot switch on heating and restore the schedule. If I want support, I need to pay a fee and sign up for Hive+.
So they break my system, which previously worked fine, and apparently it's my problem, and I'm on my own. I need to replace the system, and clearly it will not be with another Hive system, not least because the one I have is not broken, it's just their app that's faulty. Unfortunately, I'm in Scotland and the house is in Dorset. The AI suggested that I operate the system manually.
Er, that kind of defeats the object of buying a Hive system! I'm disgusted and very annoyed.
